The first time I told my parents I was a furry they were like “what on earth is a furry” so it took me like a full 24 hours just to explain what a furry was, that was when I was like 17

Whenever I say a full 24 hours it was actually just 2 hours but it felt like 24 hours! They even asked me where my fur suit was and I said “you don’t need a Fursuit to be a furry,”. We lived in a neighborhood then and my mom put up a furry pride flag and the neighbors were physically distraught
