Yes i'll have to agree with you, see for me at least it's different if you're like trans or something but if you want to be an animal that's a whole nother ball game, but nah you'd be surprised the amount of children on my youtube that say they're therians lol, never seen someone irl act like one at least, basically what i believe is that it's not harmful to do stuff like that as a hobbie, but once you develop the mindset it becomes a problem (but yeah no that's fair you got what works for you lol) (also AWWEEE MY HEART MAN 😭😭)

well there are certainly cosplayers who do believe that they are the character they're portraying, as well as furries who feel the same, and that is where i also draw the line. however we also should take into consideration the large portion of both communities who don't share that sentiment, many people online and that i know personally don't believe or wish to be an animal、however taking into account the ones who do (therians) most of them are children, and as you know children are in that stage where they're still figuring out themselves and experimenting new and different things, no matter how strange they may seem. Most of these children either grow out of it with few who may get consumed by it (the latter making it then, something to worry about)

I see, well i suppose the people who own fursuits are a little different, however it's still only a hobby, if i were to use your earlier analogy would cosplayers also be mentally ill just because they're cosplayers? see, what make's it something to fret over is when they take it into the sexual spectrum, because they are dressed up as animals anthropomorphic or not. (btw i'm not trying to argue I'm thinking of this as more of a healthy debate 😅😭)

i see, i think you may have therians and furries confused lol, as someone who has furry (not therian or zoophile) friends, and used to draw anthropomorphic animals when i was younger I can go on about many misconceptions on *people who draw them, many certainly are not mentally ill, and honestly just prefer drawing them as opposed to other things
