I’m not, i’m cisgender. I used people who are transgender as representation as they are the ones who are more affected by misgendering and are more harmed by it.

Again i had a reason to. It’s like calling someone transphobic because they did something transphobic. I don’t use it just for shits and giggles, i had a reason to and she deserved to be called out for it.

On one of her posts someone commented “f@*$”. They were agitated they didn’t win her contest. So she took that as an opportunity to insult their art and call it “awful”, because apparently “fuck” is a horrible word to use and she just couldn’t ignore it. Even thought this person took time out of their day to draw her something, but because of a word she shows them complete disrespect and drags down their art.

However on other person’s post she said something along the lines of “your oc is fucking me”, which again made the artist extremely uncomfortable.
She was using the exact same word just in a different tense. Its hypocrisy because she doesn’t believe other people can say it, but she can.

I mean only two other people were backing me up and they both didn’t talk much?? And yea i have reason to be more in the placement of a victim role. I was misgendered and have been called insults even thought i was calling her out for her hypocrisy? Last time i checked it wasn’t difficult to respect pronouns or admit to your mistakes.

So take that information with you and maybe educate your friend that misgendering is completely wrong. No matter what situation or matter it should always be understood that misgendering is the last thing that should be done, especially as people who are actually transgender can take it as transphobia.
And no matter what, the individual who got misgendered should not be gaslighted for their response. Just because you don’t believe you’d react the same or see it being such a serious thing, doesn’t mean other’s see it the same way.
