Have you ever heard one and say they do believe without being influenced by their parents or others? Religion and culture is taught and learned, no one just magically and automatically is born believing in god or a higher power.

It’s not a man made thing? Everyone at some point in their life is atheist, as it’s just not believing in some god or higher power. When you’re born you don’t believe in god, you don’t even think, being atheist is just a default thing.

When i was younger yes, because i was influenced by my parents and couldn’t make my own decisions. I believed everything and anything they said, just like how kids are lied to about and completely believe santa. I would always pray thinking he was real and so amazing, but i did nothing for me.
It was until after many bad religious experiences, realizing Christianity was a waste of my time, maturing, and being able to make my own decisions i fell out of the religion and became an atheist.

Yes, it is a relationship with god, but even looking up christianity you’d see point blank it is considered a religion.
definition for christianity: “ the religion based on the person and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, or its beliefs and practices.”
definition for religion: “ the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods.”
In regard of this Christianity is a religion. Practically speaking is does differ from other belief systems due to this; but just because you develop a relationship with your god does not mean it trumps the fact christianity is a religion.

And yes, being forced by my parents, forced by churches, and forced by church camps i have prayed to god. And it meant absolutely nothing to me nor ever did anything for me.

After years of being taught christianity and read the bible to, i don’t agree with it, nor how many christians act and interpret it.
And i choose to not fall victim to immediately believing everything that is told to me, such as god being real and christianity being the valid religion. I believe what is easier and more logical to count on, and that’s science, not faith.
That’s why i choose to also not follow islam, Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, sikhism, and all the other estimated 10,000 religions; as again following a more logical route is much easier and more understanding.

And if that’s apparently your satan influencing me than so be it, however realize just like your god i don’t believe in your satan. So even if you tell me a religious being is making me think this way, though i choose to believe this way independently, i refuse to change my thought process.
