Depression happens to people when they are too stressed and yes, some children get stress aswell

Even when you are not hungry, you need to eat, maybe food will also help you cheer up. You can also try to eat healthier in the meantime

Maybe rest alot at those times

Oh, you must have been in alot of stress from what I'm reading, maybe during times when you don't go to school, you can relax and sleep well. Make sure to do work when you come back from school. And if your brother is sad, try making him happy. I hope this helps :D
