Hey Ash, there's completely no need for you to apologize for something like this :) and it is NOT selfish at all. You were never obliged to be the 'therapist friend.' Friendship is more than just comforting sad people all the time, it can be very draining and I'm glad that you do recognize that.
Sure, sometimes you might have to be 'selfish' and take care of your own self before anyone else, but that's a good thing. After all, even if you want to help someone, you must help yourself first. You need to be in a good mindset first before you are able to help anyone else.
