Don’t be afraid to also try learning on duolingo it’s a good program and it can also help you with vocabulary.

When reading real books, stick with simpler ones and pay attention to grammar and punctuation, it really helps in the long run. Though I’m a native English speaker, it always helps to keep a keen eye even in my own language. But you are bilingual, so keep on learning! It proves you’re very smart.

I’m a native English speaker, so I don’t know much about any other languages besides German. But I was pretty shit at spelling and reading when I was younger, so I recommend reading fanfics in English to improve your English if you think it would help. (Safe for work ones specifically you don’t want to get yourself in anything bad. Safe for work ones are better for learning as well.) another thing you can do is read Wikipedia articles in English and try reading them aloud.
