Its better to start out with an anime that is targeted with your age, there are plenty of animes that fit the bill, then when you get older you get more options.

I'm sure you haven't heard but she said that the only way that you'll get a request is if she specifically has a post that says "Requests" n stuff like that. In the meantime just be patient and she'll probably have a post like that in the future. ( -_-)7
