People say “oh look it’s another depressed 13 year old! Haha” or “They’re just looking for attention” it’s like they don’t know it’s real

not saying that people should mock people with depression, that’s a terrible thing to do :,(

you know some people joke about it as a coping mechanism,,,? if people find joking about their own depression/struggles comforting then it isn’t a problem. plus, people just like dark jokes.
