So papyrus is in alphes(?) lab and he had hurt himself so bad his soul "shattered" so alphes
Used determination to "bring him back" it worked but soon after he was able to go he started melting ((kinda like undyn in the undying fight)) and sans helped him but then papyrus melted ONTO him so then they fused into this monstrosity called "six bones"
