So it’s 1961 the US just failed to invade Cuba and Castro wants protection from the US, and The leader of the USSR had a lot of medium range missles that couldn’t reach America but they could if they were positioned on Cuba, so soviets ships started shipping missiles to Cuba but then America found out and oh no…… so they started a naval blockade which is where you have to stop your ships and the US would search your ships for missles, so the leader of the USSR (I forgot his name) said “Kennedy, you can’t do that, that’s an act of war” so they put there missles in strike mode, the us did the same, for the first time in history the us moved to defcon 2, defcon 1 means nuclear war, and the day before the US was to set the time and date to invade and nuke Cuba kruschev (that’s his name) said “hey if you remove your missles from turkey well remove ours from Cuba” so America removed there missles from Turkey. Sooooo that’s the time the world almost fucking died
