My Lion King Review

Okay, so I saw the Lion King Live Action last night, and since I was too tired to talk about it yesterday, I’m going to make a review right now. No, there will be no spoilers, but it doesn’t matter either way since most of you probably watched the original already. The people (who I’m leaving anonymous for obvious reasons) who I watched the movie with really likes it. In my opinion, the movie was rather disappointing. The “Be Prepared Song” in the movie was really weak. It was like, less than a minute. I was expecting rising rockets and bubbling hot lava and green flashing lights like the original one, but no, it was just scar climbing up a cliff while all the hyenas where just looking at him and making some side music for the song he was singing. All of the voice acting was pretty weak too, until the middle of it. It was like starting a price and getting better and better at it at the end but not bothering to fix the beginning of it. The movie didn’t really have that many changes from the original like I was expecting, making the live action seem really uncreative with it’s storyline, mAking it seem pretty short. Maybe, a few changes here and there, but nothing interesting. The characters didn’t seem to have many face expressions, but I’m going to let them slide for that, since it’s hard to make realistic animals to have face expressions. Do I recommend you watch this movie? Sure, if you want to. It may not be good enough for the cartoon version, but it’s still good to watch. Yes, the cartoon original was better, but that doesn’t mean the live action was bad. To be fair, the live action does make its moral more clearer than the original for all ages to understand.
