UN NATO and EU were created to counter wait Russia/the USSR and China
Also to keep Germany and other European countries down or to have a low military and shiz also to have protection against the USSR hence “you attack one, you attack all”
Also in Germany’s case
“To keep America (or other countries) In, the Germans down, and the soviets out”
