Testimony

While doing a devotional, one of the reflection questions was “what is your earliest memory of praying?”, mine was when I was 13 or 14 years old. I was laying in bed, did not believe that there was a God, but I was struggling with depression, anxiety, and self-hatred. I couldn’t sleep, and was crying. “If there is a God out there, please help me, save me.” Of course my prayer was longer than that, but That was the base of my prayer. And at that time I did not know that He heard me, but now I see that He did, because soon after I prayed that I was taken out of that situation. God rescued me, even when I did not believe in Him, and soon after that I found the Lord. It was a rough journey, but I would not be where I am today, if it was not for His love and grace.

Even though I was uncertain that He existed, He heard my plea for help, and He saved me. Took time, and a rough journey, but He saved me. Praise His mighty name, Forevermore!
