The brain has three connected parts: the cerebrum, the cerebellum, and the medulla. Each part has its own functions.
• Cerebrum - Cerebrum is the largest part of the brain, which controls voluntary movements and detects touch, light, sound, odor, taste, pain, heat, and cold.
• Cerebellum - The Cerebellum receives sensory impluses from the muscles and joints.
• Medulla - The Medulla connects the brain to the spinal cord.
