Prologue: The ninth human has finally escaped the underground, everything seems fine, the ninth human who possesses the soul of JOY, never revealed her name. She just left, promising she would make sure nobody else falls down, Asgore and Toriel believed this, due to the fact that they see humans in a whole new light. This was because the eighth human, who possessed the soul of determination, Frisk, changed everything to them, even their vision of humanity. Despite the fact humanity is their greatest foe. Their has been some casualties from the ninth human though, the monsters... went rogue, and attacked her. They were not able to spare, completely GENOCIDE driven. JOY had to kill them, Toriel understood the situation, but Asgore became more suspicious. Wondering what had REALLY happened, even though Toriel ensures him that JOY had no choice. Asgore is now more concerned, trusting their greatest foes led to more deaths... CHAPTER 1: THE DEMONS OF TRUTH: Undyne was sparring with Papyrus, as Sans watched from afar, Sans was worried, paranoid about everything. Somebody he trusted fighting with Papyrus, even if it was just simple sparring, didn’t help that crippling anxiety. As the rock blocked sky began to rumble, undyne took a moment to look up, like she was staring at a beast of unfathomable power... Undyne, in 5 seconds crashed through the flower bed as something tumbles on top of her, creating a big hole near the entrance of the Underground. ???: “Ermph, What the hell? Why am I, where am I?” “You are somewhere you *grunt* aren’t supposed to be...” Undyne says. It was a human, red hair, black and red suit... ???: “I can’t get up, who are y- AHHHHHHH” ???: EW EW EW ITS A FISH TALKING, I THINK THIS FALL MADE ME DELIRIOUS” “You just speaking pisses me off, we should be scared of you, your kind wiped most of us monsters out...” “So if you wan’t to talk about somebody, talk to yourself” Undyne said. ???: “Well fine, I won’t talk about the skeleton... I’m truly scared, but I think the fact I just fell 1600 feet kind of sugar coats the fact I’m looking at the monsters that live under your bed” “Hey thats pretty offensive, punk, we don’t live under your beds, in your shadow! I am Undyne of the royal guard, if you weren’t talking like that you should be bowing before me! So you better shut your pretty fu-“ Undyne stopped, Papyrus was screaming at her... “UNDYNE DONT USE SUCH LANGUAGE NEAR A PRECIOUS HUMAN!” Papyrus yelled, as he stroked the humans blood red hair. “This one is precious.” “The only precious one I’ve seen was frisk...” DETERMINATION. “What?” Undyne was confused at what she heard. ???: “Determination!” “Well yeah... that human possessed the soul of DETERMINATION” ???: “And I possess the soul of...” PAIN: “PAIN!” “You are the soul of PAIN?” Papyrus and Undyne said in unison, “Well, then through your journey through the underground, I want you to describe that pain to us” Undyne Says. “Heh, Undyne, did you notice the last human, JOY, promising they would make sure nobody else falls down, wellllguessthat was just a demon of the truth... a l-lie” Papyrus hesitantly says. Chapter 2: Pain to Peace: “Well, I-I’m sorry, you don’t have to call me PAIN either... my name is ironic, its Peace” “Sorry for all the trouble too, I’m just not used to anything that has happened here...” Peace says. “Frisk? What happened to yo- Oh wait, heheh you aren’t frisk... I guess I was wrong, you are another human huh? Hey don’t let that mistake get UNDER your skin. Maybe it’s just me. It doesn’t get under mine, I have no skin” Sans jokingly says. “Okay okay okay... I will voyage further, where I hope I will meet more monster like you-“ “WAIT” Sans exclaims “I DONT NEED MORE CASUALITESSSS FATHER” “what?” Peace is now concerned about that skeletons mental health, even though it doesn’t have a brain. Peace and her.. well what she considers surface level friends, go onto the ruins, to meet Toriel. “My child, I-.... wasn’t expecting anymore humans to call “my child” Toriel says. “I really had faith in that human who promised no other human would fall dow-“ “No no no no! This was an accident! I’m so sorry! This had nothing to do with that human! Im very sorry!” Peace waves her hands around frantically as she exclaims “I’m so sorryyyy!” “I understand it was neither yours, or JOY’s fault that you fell down....” “My child, please... calm down” Toriel is rambling on about how it was nobodies fault. “Hey punk!” *Undyne punches Peace in the shoulder* “Are you gonna continue or not?!” Undyne says in a cocky way “But seriously, this is getting lame, we have made no progress” “R-Right!” Toriel, and Peace say in unison. *1 hour later* “We have reached the end of the ruins my child, do you wish to speak to us about anything now? I heard you wanted to converse about why you possess the soul of PAIN” Toriel says, as she clasps Peaces hand. “Well, I can, but I wan’t to walk on aswell.” “Whew, its cold, and snowing, and... houses, trees? Where are we? Peace questions the surrounding are. Sans responds with, “Snowdin, a place where you and my brother slipping up into a little... fumble, could lead to a very Bad Time” sans’s eyes turn black as he, and Peace teleport somewhere. “W-where did you take me, you know what? You are crazy! Please, take me back!” Sans clasps Peaces hand. “You made me crazy! Ive seen you kill the whole underground! Clean, everything! Wiped off the face of the planet! The snow of Snowdin, Red! Water of waterfall, Red! Rocks of Hotland, Blood stained! I’m going to tell you a story, the story of what YOU did... in a different timeline...” Sans is serious now. “I didn’t- I didn’t do anything! Timeline? Me? I think you have the wrong person... I... Don’t know... anymore...” Peace says. “You don’t remember anything now!” Sans has hypnotized peace, her memories are becoming filled with PAIN, the PAIN of remembering what happened in that timeline. “pain pain pain pain pain pain pain, all I remember is pain... no regrets... no worries... all the pain... caused pain... inflicted pain... mental pain... I am not peace... but PAIN” Peace repeats this over and over, remembering only what happened, only the GENOCIDE of that timeline, remembering what that other version of herself did... but not remembering that there is good in her... she now only remembers that she caused pain and only feels pain... she remembers... that she possesses the soul, of PAIN. *Sans’s eyes begin to crack upwards, one of them cracking downwards and forming a crack connecting his left eye and left side of his mouth” “PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PAIN PIAN PUAN PQND PABSNS ISISS SISJSIA HI SNAISUSJA SISJS HV” sans begins to scream the word PAIN followed by gibberish. In an instant, everything snaps back to normal. Peace opens her eyes... she is standing in blood stained snow, with her blood stained sweater and blood stained face... red eyes, bloodied knife in hand. Peace can only see bloodied trees, red snow, houses on fire, and bloody bodies of her friends that she was just getting attached to and other random monsters. Everywhere. “Pain, Pain, Pain, Pain, Pain” Peace chants. A yellow dinosaur looking figure without arms and a striped body comes running towards peace crying, peace guesses his name is probably Monster Kid. “Help! Help! Somebody killed my family, and everybody around us! He-“ Monster Kid stopped. Peace, without a flinch or a blink, sliced a giant slash across monster kids chest, puncturing his SOUL. Peace, sits still, with a blank face, and watches Monster Kid bleed out onto the already red snow. “I, Am, Pain” Peace says. Peace walks forwards and in less than a minute encounters, and kills over 36 monsters without any regret. Peace tries to hold back a laugh as the 37th monster bleeds out as the monsters soul cracks. Peacehavaugsoshaoajlaakshh h oscai.... PAIN walks forward, kills over 250 monsters in less than an hour. Peace has already reached Asgore. And in the blink of an eye, Asgore had a hole in his SOUL and PAIN was proceeding to shatter the barrier. PAIN leaves the underground to find that the human world... was burning, no humans in sight. PAIN would later find out human went extinctttiahosgsuaaigaoahajsbso- This horrible world begins to fade, Peace wakes up in a pool of water, Papyrus, Undyne, Sans, and Toriel all looking down at Peace. “STAY BACK, I AM PAIN, PAIN, PAIN, PAIN,” “Pain... pain” peace begins to drip saliva from her mouth, her mind exhausted. “Kid, I think falling down was a bit too much for your body. We saw you in the flowerbed and carried you here” WHAT? THIS WAS ALL A DREAM, LANDING ON UNDYNE WAS A DREAM? PAPYRUS AND SANS BEING THERE WAS A DREAM? MEETING TORIEL WAS A DREAM? VOYAGING THROUGH THE RUINS WAS A DREAM? SANS GOING CRAZY WAS A DREAM? Peace thought. Her mind was now racing for answers and- “Hey, calm down human, you are rapidly shaking” Papyrus says. Peace starts thinking,”nothing adds up though, if I was dreaming, how did I see the exact people who just saved me, or how did I learn their names when I had just fallen down and didn’t even know there were monsters down there? Something really isn’t right, I must confirm that this really is... not right” Peace thought. “H-hey, Papyrus, Sans, Undyne, and Toriel” Peace says. The looks on their faces confirms that that is their name. “H-how did you know our names?” The 4 monsters say in unison. “Thats crazy, something isn’t adding up. The human guessing one of our names wouldnt be that surprising, they just got lucky, but guessing all of our names, in order! Thats weird.” Sans says. Chapter 3: 4 Saints, THEY return!
