The Rift’s Edge

Inspired by The landscapes people seem to be doing.

Lore (I guess?):
The trees in this world are viewed as gods by humans and give tribute to them for the right to build and stay within their protection. They live at the very edge of The Rift in which the darkness lurks and threatens to feast on the humans.
The Darkness are kept at bay by the trees using its teeth to damage anything that comes too close... The trees cannot enter The Rift for the powerful Queen lurks there and would surely kill them.!

This was until one tree decided to attack The Darkness inside the Rift and lost its life doing so. All humans who dwelled on it got killed without the protection of the trees.

Now everyone steers clear of the damaged God and is known as The Foolish Bite.
