body + shape language practice

round, curved shapes are typically used for cutesy, docile characters, like kirby for example.
squares are signs of a sturdy, reliable character, like garnet from steven universe.
and triangles are meant for malicious, more vindictive characters, like a lot of the renaissance disney villains (maleficent is a good one).
these are all a part of body language, and while composing a character of a single shape isn’t always necessary, keeping one “signature” shape is the best way to get a personality across through design alone.
but this was only really body language practice the more i think about it haha
