Daybreak S1 Ep 3

Soon enough, Blue and Red arrived at the security office in front of Crosswell, the town they were moving to. Behind a grey desk sat a dog, one of his eyes covered by a white patch. His face was curled into a scowl and he narrowed his eyes as they approached. Blue wondered what happened to this dog’s - his name is Dash, as shown by a small yellow badge, thought Blue - eye.

‘Hey, we just, uh, moved here.’ Blue started. Dash glared at them more, looking for their names on some kind of list. Red shuffled backwards, a little wary of the security guard. Blue didn’t blame him - it had after all been a dog who had killed their parents in an attack. It wasn’t this one though. He was probably nervous of them too for whatever reason.

‘Red and Blue.’ He grunted. Blue nodded. ‘Your bags are in your home already.’ He dropped his voice suddenly so that only the cat siblings could hear. ‘Don’t think I’ll welcome you. Stay away from me and my brother.’ Blue shuddered, nodding and quickly hurrying her and Red into the town. She was scared of Dash, sure, but mostly confused. Why was he acting like this, she wondered?

Oh well, no time to dwell on that now. They had a life to start.
