Justin is the human we have the most information on. According to his sister, he fell down on halloween, which explains his strange attire. He was attempting to prevent her suicide attempt. Apparently, after convincing her to leave, he tripped and fell down the montain. Nobody was there to see other than Felicity, however, so there is no way to know what truly went on that day.
