Blue at work

in which she encounters a Karen

Urgh. She could tell from the smug, arrogant look in the white rabbit’s eyes that she was going to be a difficult customer. And the most difficult always picked the newest employees. Blue made an attempt to appear happy and ready to help. The rabbit began to put her things on the conveyor belt, and they cruised slowly towards Blue. So s l o w l y. . . Blue began to zone out a bit. She’d been stuck in the lane with the broken one, of course. Dumb manager. Well, it wasn’t his fault... hmm.... he didn’t even know it was broken.

‘Hey!’ spat the rabbit. ‘Scan my stuff already!’ Blue stifled a groan and began. She picked up the first item, and tried to scan it. She didn’t hear the beep, so she tried again. Still silence. Blue was getting annoyed now. Her claws unsheathed often when she was annoyed so she had to make an effort for that not to happen. ‘Hurry up. I haven’t got all day!’ She hissed.
‘So sorry ma’am, the machine’s broken.’ Blue muttered.
‘Unacceptable excuse! I have to pick up my kittens in a minute. You’re wasting my time!’
‘Ma’am, the machine is BROKEN.’ She grunted, trying to remain upbeat. ‘I’ll call maintenance, wait a minute-’ ‘Ugh! Stop pretending. I need to speak to your manager about this.’ Blue almost screamed. ‘Of course, ma’am.’ She picked up the phone, and heard a snicker from the employee working opposite her. She flashed him a stink eye and he stopped.
Picking up the phone, she began. ‘Mr. Woodfield, sir, a customer wants to speak to you.’

and then the karen got a week’s ban from the store for harassing workers lol. also, her manager is a hedgehog
