Clouds

My father I would always look up in the clouds
He'd say son it's time to look at the grounds
It's time to stop lookin up
Its about time you suck it up
But I always had a gut
That I could belive
To finally have a dream
Where I could be free
And could be me
So then they could all see
I have a kingdom awaiting
And not forsaking
Of taking
Their own making
And where they wouldn't have to awaken
Where we could all look up at the Clouds
And not the grounds
But my father
Who had to make a slaughter
Of a boy's dreams
And not his daughter's
To where I had a team
That would set us all free
To finally be me
Even today
Just to play it safe
I hide away
So that I can say
To where in the day
I look up in the clouds
And not the grounds
