Ok so I was in my parents room looking for clothes and the TV was on a politics channel or some shit and they were talking abt how some dude wants to make abortion legal, defund the police, and take away gun rights
Sounds good to me
Like people on the opposing side of this will complain “if you take away guns then criminals will just obtain them illegally” but bitch that’s the same with abortion, and will kill just as many people as guns do each year.
Also defund the police doesn’t mean taking away all of their funding, it just means taking some and putting it towards things that need it like public education

If they’re defunded, then wouldn’t all the police who were just in it for the money leave? Also ACAB is referencing the system they work under is rigged. It’s not saying anything about a specific cops character.

If police are defunded, then the bad ones will find another job. When someone is put in a place of power it can corrupt them, hence why police brutality literally has a name. Shouldn’t the police want to keep everyone safe? Then why would they quit if their pay went down?

Also public education is shit right now and NEEDS the funding. Want an example of time useful money that could’ve gone to anything else was wasted on police?
