Signs that I was in a toxic relationship...

My ex cheated on me but I believed him, I was that naive, he went on and cheated again with a different girl and decided to tell me that I was stupid for believing that and how ignorant I was for assuming such a thing. He went on with the same girl and ignored me for a couple of day’s.

He would proceed to call me a ‘slut’ and ‘whore’ because of a guy I was talking to, we were just friends but he thought I was cheating because that guy would tease me, and touch my shoulder but we were best friends, I allowed him you touch my shoulder and tease me. I was beaten after I talked to him.

He would complain about a mistake he made and tell me that it was my fault for not stopping him. I would just sit and tell him he could take care of himself and he would raise his voice and hit me.

He wouldn’t allow me to see my friends for quite some time because he believed he was “so much better” than them and that I didn’t need them.

So just some tips for anyone who is in a toxic/abusive relationship:
1. Try recording a fight and/or when he/she/they do something terrible or try to seduce you.

2. Have 911 on speed dial if he/she/they threatens to kill you and actually might kill you.

3. Tell someone like a therapist, a close family member, or a very close friend that you can trust, your feelings deserve to be let out, not bottled up.

4. Run away but to somewhere you can stay with someone who you know and love, I’m sure they will protect you if they love you.
