the au (spoiler alert for toh)
when eda gives luz the portal in aoaw luz goes through (reluctantly of course, eda ends up having to try and attack her to make her go through) and eda closes it behind her. luz distressed ofc. its very sad. cut to amity’s pov (healed leg quicker using healing magic she learned from luz, who is taking all tracks), her and lilith break in and free eda (since lilith was.there when the chains were made she knows how to break them) asked her where luz is, eda holds up the portal.

belos shows up and eda forces lilith and amity to flee, with the portal. eda out of chains now, so says she can hold her own to reassure them. amity realises that uh oh, she didn’t really think this through, what would she tell her parents she’d done? lies and tells them she helped lilith secure eda, resulting in proud parents but angry twins. they won’t talk to her, they got along well with eda and now they think that because of amity she’ll be petrified. in their eyes she’s cost two innocent lives.

a few days pass and she realises she values her sibling’s love more than her parent’s approval. of course they still won’t talk to her, so she’s stuck.
amity’s parents raise their expectations for her.
days become a blur, it’s all study no talk
siblings won’t help.
can’t take it, it’s too much pressure

well, there’s one person who won’t put pressure on her, or give her the cold shoulder without knowing the full truth.

sneaks into the owl house to use portal, passes through. it’s sad, but she’s happy to see luz there.

luz couldn’t go to summer camp, she just couldn’t. there was no viable explanation for where she’d been. so for the past couple of weeks, she’d been living in the abandoned house, hoping someone would open the portal again.
