My hallways is full of water

Let me explain a pipe broke in my bathroom and the hallway is full of water I noticed the water when I was coming downstairs for a break from school and I noticed that water was on the floor so I told my mom and my family was drying the place for and hour I did nothing and thought I was still helpful because I let my parents know but I did freaking nothing at all and when I went back to class and after that everything was normal
