Assassin wolf

Whatever chapter 11

Dito led Coil up the cave as far as he could go before descending again. Coil had kept up decently well. The cave was somewhat tall but not by too much. Difficult to climb that was for sure. Craterday and Leaf had disappeared and at first if you looked very carefully you could see Mroto in the trees. The animals that went in the cave had to be careful by far. Hopefully Tinko can make a portal and get to the meeting place. He's the only one who knows how. I'm not so sure about the group we met but they don't seem like the wolves to be able to do so.
Craterday was an assassin so hopefully he knows at least one of the meeting spots. If he can get there then we can all group by either going to the same one or meeting at the main one.
"Came on. I hope to get to one of the Assassin Meeting Spots in about a day and a half." Coil was showing no need or want to stop. Which may help us get to the spot rather quickly but Stem and Leaf probably aren't used to it. All the running and everything. They definitely don't seem like the wolves to do this stuff. "Are you used to traveling long distances? You seem quite fine to be traveling fast as well."
"Yes, Craterday and I travel fast most of the time. I'm also used to staying up for long periods of time." Coil explains not stopping one bit. Good then we should make it when I want to.
Once we were off the cave we were in the forest around it. I knew we were heading towards the desert forest area. Where the two biomes meet one another and kinda mix. There was some sand mixed with dirt and dirt mixed in sand. The trees near there could be half dead or completely dead. But they still all stayed mostly straight. As most dead trees some had fallen down, but most stayed standing. There was a meeting place on the desert forest border. It was a small one and hardly anyone used it but it should do the job that they needed.

We'd traveled through the night. The forest had darkened greatly but neither of us had complications getting through most of it. There were a few spots where we got tangled in some brush and vines. Coil hadn't slown down nor complained about the night's travel. It was a bit past dawn and the sun had started to rise so that even between all the trees we could see the sunlight. As we headed for the sunlight the birds in the trees started awakening. Coil looked up to see a parrot fly above us. Beautiful as it was we had to keep moving.
"So how far is this meeting spot for you Assassins. I mean if you start going through portals to get to the main spot, couldn't we have just opened one to get to the main?" Coil had a point. As much as I'd rather just gone through a portal in the beginning I couldn't make one. I was never shown how, but I do know how to put coordinates in them.
"Not too far. Around Noon High we should be there. I do believe that I would have opened a portal as soon as we left the area, if I could." I knew that the last part had a tone of annoness to it and I could see him flinch back as if I was going to hurt him. "Look I never knew or was shown how to make a portal but I do know how they work and what to do once one is made. There are some perpetual portals that anyone can open if they know the words to do so." He nodded behind me in understanding.
"Makes sense." He drops into an attack crouch. I had heard the noise in the trees without stopping or paying much attention to them.
"What are you doing? Look up. It's just Mroto. She's been trailing us for a while. " The cat was skilled at being silent and moving fast among the trees. Mroto was only giving her a fright. She had found us around Moon Shine that night. I had been able to identify her only because her smell was natural for me to smell.
"Sorry for the fright. I don't try to make noise. But a dense bird was protecting her young when I went by. Scared me as much as I scared you." Coil had stood up and looked embarrassed. Now that Mroto had made it clear she was here we continued moving through a silent command.
It wasn't long before we saw the border between the two biomes. It was close to Noon High once we left the forest. Mroto had joined us in walking once the trees thinned out into the desert.
"That's strange, when does a tree just grow out of the middle of the cave?" Coils' confusion was almost amusing. Just out of nowhere and with full surprise he jumped up and claimed it.
"That's because it's the meeting place." Mroto too had almost started to laugh. I couldn't blame her. It's not normal for us to lead a non-assassin to one of these places.
"Come on, we don't have all day. I'd like to get with the rest. We need to get back to the main. Hopefully everyone will get there before New Moon." I knew I was rushing them. But those wolves that pulled the arrows were assassin trained but we're against us. They'd rather us all dead then doing our missions.
Mroto led us into the cave and to a portal. "aperto a main" the portal then opened and we went through it.
We entered a wooded area, it was impossible to get in unless you were an assassin or knew the coordinates. There was a place to make swords, dagers, bows and arrows. There was a place to start the fire and a metal thing to make the actual thing. In the back there was a small natural pool. On one of the walls there were some starter handles. If in a rush you just had to add them on, if not you could engrave a certain design. Mine had a snake like engraving on it. Cobra if I remember correctly.
Not every wolf could make a weapon or engrave things on it. Only special trained wolves could do that job to make them last. You had to have certain skills that others didn't. Sharp teeth, a good eye, and strong hind paws. Even stronger than wolves who stand to fight.
"Wow this place is dark but definitely beautiful." Coil had looked around as well.
"It is isn't it." I hadn't even realized that Tinko, Kinko, and Stem had arrived. "I almost miss going to meetings." Tinko and Kinko had missed that last couple of main meetings due to missions they went on.
"Didn't even know you all got here yet." I claimed, not many things do I not hear.
"It was kinda fun, except the long run everywhere. Well till Tinko opened the portal." Stem was very optimistic about the trip then and what's to come. "Is Leaf and Craterday here yet?"
"No, I haven't seen them since we split." Coil points out. I wasn't necessarily paying attention to them but I knew I had seen them leave.
"I believe Craterday was going to lead them off to allow us to get away. He had deliberately gone the direction they were all in. Which would explain why he's not here, going their way, and not coming to the detection the rest of us went." Mroto too had a point.
"We'll just have to wait and see. If they aren't here by new moon we'll look for them." I seemed to have concluded that conversation. Stem and Coil curl up to sleep as does the rest of us. It was a long journey and I'm sure rather we want to admit it or not but a hard one. I went next to the weapon making place. It was warmer and had a cave-like feel to it.
