I don’t understand our school system ( in desc )

Like, how does finding the “x” gonna help us in the future? How do we apply freaking angles and crap in our lives?? Like can’t we learn only the basics, like can’t we learn how to pay taxes instead?? Or how to invest a business? Like tf
