You can clear the cache in the settings app, so you don't need to open animemaker. Anyways it's not a 100 percent chance it would work. So it's still very unfortunate

no i mean it wouldnt even let me open the app, like I would hit the button, the app would come up for a breif second, than close with a pop up going "Animemaker keeps closeing"

That sucks. You probably could have just cleared the cache and still have your animes
