Is just me or compliments just some how make me upset? ( explanation in desc )

Like,, I feel like they just compliment me just because they don’t wanna make me feel upset.
I feel like they only compliment and care for me out of pity for how pathetic I am.

At the same time, I want to be complimented and payed attention more,
But I just feel like they’re insulting me secretly.
I feel like they don’t actually like me.
