Hello, I’d like to bring awareness to a problem that has been happening for years. It’s the occurance of Asian hate crimes that have only gotten worst thus far over the past years. It’s nothing new and the reason it’s becoming a larger issue is because people use Covid as an excuse to harrass, attack, and berate Asians.

Covid-19 is NOT genetic. Not every Asian has Covid

It’s such an obvious concept, yet people don’t seem to grasp it.
(Ok, this was added in by myself but the part that says I'm asian is not really true, I'm actually English but I wanted to keep it in anyways, I still support asians. Thanks for reading this quick notice! ^^)
As an asian person myself (I am Vietnamese), I am disguested by how humanity treats people over the sole basis of a virus being spread. Instead of coming together, people find that hate crimes are what they want to indulge in rather than sticking together like normal people.

To reiterate, taking a stance against hate crimes against ANY race is such a crucial part in spreading the word. The victims of these crimes recently have been elderly, children, families, or those who are vulnerable and can’t fight back. Not only is the act of doing that disgusting, but the fact that these sick people go after people who we as Asians respect and hold to a high regard is just pathetic.

If you are someone who even slightly indulges in Asian goods such as anime, Kpop, Jpop, Cpop, Vpop, eating Asian food such as sushi, boba, etc, or even buying clothes made in Asian countries, please speak up. Spreading awareness, as simple as it is, really helps to bring the issue to light.

Sidenote: Please don’t normalize Asian jokes, slurs, and don’t laugh along even if the person saying such things are Asian. That’s a sign of wanting validation and just because one person says that they are fine with such things, that does not mean all of us are.
