Did you know that Giant pandas are onvers? They eat small fish and tiny animals but they eat 97% bamboo. Giant pandas eat for 12 hours a day. They will only digest 5% of what they consume each day. Giant pandas eat bamboo to keep calm. If they don't eat bamboo they will get aggressive but where does the bamboo come from?

Giant pandas live in Yangtze, China. They live in the bamboo mountains, a hot humid place. Their food practically surrounds them; it's all bamboo. Sadly their lush green habitat is shrinking. Due to the expanding human population their habitats are at risk of extinction.

The human population is only one of the many risks of the Giant panda. Giant pandas were endangered until there was a law protecting them from hunters. They are known to be peaceful animals but if they are threatened it is another story. Zoos And breeding programmes have been breeding the Giant pandas to get them back to normal amounts. All in all Giant pandas are now not endangered and there is more and more each year.

The future of the Giant panda is looking up. Animal preserves are breeding Giant pandas. There has been an increase of giant pandas over the years by 17% because of breeding programs.there are now laws to protect giant pandas and their habitat.if you kill a giant panda you will go to jail for 10 years.
