Swap the g and the e in geocentric and you have egocentric
Doesn’t make sense? Even if it does, here’s why I say that. (Optional, you don’t have to read)
Geocentric is the belief that Earth is the center of the universe. It seems pretty clear why that sounds egotistical, but if it isn’t clear somehow, I’ll explain. Geocentric pretty much means the whole universe revolves around us. You heard that. “The pale blue dot.” If you look that up online, people actually have to point Earth out. Circle it, point to it, make the camera closer, even a few of these things. So Earth is clearly not the center of the universe. Some people believe so. And, maybe they also believe this cause’ God created us (no I don’t believe in God, I mean on their side). God created us all and we’re either being blessed or tortured. Like, people created God to have a reason why we’re all here. Otherwise, why do we have to do school? Why do we have to teach? Why do we have to have a job? Why do we have to do anything, really? So, the phrase geocentric should be called egocentric.
