The Artist and the Leech - a story

Okay so basically, one time an artist (me) knew a leech (my “friend”).
And one day, my other friend, who we’ll call Kelp came to me in the auditorium (where we would wait until class started) and told me the leech, who we’ll be calling Soil, drew a copied looking character that looked like my persona at the time, and drew it in Kelp’s sketchbook with the name, “Devil Rena” which is honestly inaccurate because my cringe persona was like 4 different creatures and stuff. So, I came to Soil in the middle of gym and asked her to not draw my persona anymore. And guess what she said?
She didn’t deny it or anything, she just straight up said “no”
So I’m just sitting here, infuriated because I’m a territorial person, and to copy my art would cross like 73 different lines and it seemed leechy leechy here decided to run a marathon across every one
We continued gym, and when we went to lunch, Soil was sitting at the table behind me so we’re basically back to back, and I write a note. I draw my persona (which was actually a bad idea because that’d give her reference for theft if she kept it) and a very passive aggressive note saying something along the lines of, “hi, this is your friendly reminder to STOP DRAWING MY PERSONA” and it DID go on but this was a long time ago so like,, memory bad and stuff. So I pass the note to Soil and she, after like a minute, gives it back to me?? Nervously, I threw it out and at recess when we were walking outside, Soil and her friend (who will be called Shoelace, who is also extremely intimidating) walked up to me, and Shoelace said, “[my name], why would you give Soil that note?”
I didn’t want to explain myself so I avoided them and walked away. But unfortunately, they caught up and I remember exactly what Shoelace said to me. She said, “You can’t even talk but you can still pass stupid notes.”
I don’t know if it was intimidation, guilt or both, but I did apologize and say that I regretted it. Soil and I sat down and started drawing with each other as I sadly ignored that as I drew my persona, she would copy it.

UNTIL ONE DAY, I was drawing with Soil at lunch and drew my old Little Witch Academia OC, Paprika and Soil copied it. Kelp was in another class so we didn’t see each other as much, and so was my other friend Handle. Both Kelp, AND Handle passed by and mentioned that it looked like Soil was copying me. Thus, I couldn’t take it and dropped her. Soil still thought we were friends and tried to sit by me, but my mother gave me the advice to just cover my art when she was looking, so I did and we stopped talking. Soil still tried to peek at my art sometimes, like she begged me once to look at my sketchbook, and also we were doing an art thing, and when I got up to do something, she was looking at it.
Conclusion: Don’t trust someone who earned the nickname Soil
