Given the number and distribution of SCP-118 cases, containment of each specimen is impossible. Known Red Zones will be closed to maritime traffic by civilian vessels and divers under the guise of a military operation or other plausible cover. Permanent contacts will be maintained in the fleets deployed near the Red Zones implicated in SCP-118 which will be used to minimize the passage of military vessels through said Red Zones. If an area within a Red Zone has a depth of less than 1500 meters, the restriction will extend to aircraft. All human activity in the surrounding Yellow Zones will be kept under surveillance, and any vessel with non-military personnel approaching their Red Zones will be expelled. The TOXIC HARVEST protocol will be observed in the Red and Yellow Zones to ensure removal of artifacts produced by SCP-118. In addition, the CELLULAR GUARD protocol has been implemented to guarantee the early detection of emerging Red Zones.
