Just because no one sat you down and explained to why such an age gap is wrong doesn’t mean it’ll be ignored for everyone else that is in such a relationship.
And i’m not bashing anyone for the issue, just explaining why it is wrong.

Though i don’t know much about this situation nor the people involved, i will say right off the bat them dating is absolutely not ok, and by what you’ve already stated sums it up.
A 9 yr old is considered a young child, not even being able to be considered a preteen, while a 13 yr old is a teenager. Those together don’t mix up, and a 4 year age gap, which is a big age gap in any young relationship, concerning individuals that are <18 yrs is wrong.
Though the fact this cannot be considered a pedophilic issue, nor anything similar as it’s just a simple online relationship, doesn’t make it anymore right.
9 yr olds are in school learning division and multiplication, playing with barbies and being children, they’re young; even too young to actually understand love. 13 yr olds have hit puberty meaning they are not going to be so pure and innocent anymore, they’re teens, they’re not young kids.
Understand it would be completely ok for them to be friends, but dating just isn’t ok.
