What I think about Shoto's "hero name"
He needs to change it. Its just so... well, boring.
As u probably know, Midoriya, Bakugo, and Shoto are often grouped or categorized together in a way, like a trio. They're the 3 main characters. All 3 of them have fought each other at some point, as of recently in the manga all 3 of them know about OFA, all 3 of them are top students in their class both in power and academically, and the 3 of them have teamed up on more than one occasion...
Basically my point here is that when it comes to their hero names, Shoto is the only one in the trio who doesnt really "fit in". Izuku's hero name, "Deku" is supposed to sound similar to the Japanese term "dekiru", meaning "to be able to do". So his hero name basically means that he can and will do anything. Bakugo's hero name is "DynaMight". While this is obviously a nod to his Explosion Quirk, it also obviously pays homage to All Might when u look at the spelling. Bakugo admires All Might for being an awesome hero who always wins; and that's what Bakugo strives to be: a strong, victorious hero who wins to save.
Now Shoto's hero name, which is literally just "Shoto"... Its just his first name.. It literally doesnt have any actual meaning to it as a "hero name".
So I personally think he should definitely change it later on in the series with his development. As for my thoughts on what his hero name SHOULD BE, some people think it should be something like Freezer-Burn, Icy Hot, Frost Flame, Thermostat, Medium Heat, ect. As u can see, all these names reference his Quirk and nothing else. And some of them(at least in my opinion), especially "Icy Hot" and "Freezer-Burn" sound kinda dumb (tho "Medium Heat actually doesnt sound that bad)...
I would prefer Shoto's hero name to mean more than just his powers. Like how Endeavor's name has nothing to do with fire or heat. "Endeavor" means "try hard to do or achieve something" or "an earnest and industrious effort, especially when sustained over a period of time". So his name literally means that he will put all of his true effort into his hero work, and/or that he'll try his hardest to defeat villains and protect Japan while doing so. I was thinking maybe Shoto's new hero name could be something like "Redeemer"? Which means "a person who redeems someone or something". "Redeem" has a few different meanings. Here's some of them:
1. compensate for the faults or bad aspects of (something).
2. save (someone) from sin, error, or evil.
3. gain or regain possession of (something)
I think all of these meanings could apply to Shoto's hero work in some way. For meaning no. 1(compensate for the faults or bad aspects of something), it could mean that he will always counter against any evil or disaster. For meaning no. 2(save from sin, error, or evil), i think its pretty obvious. And for meaning no. 3(gain or regain possession of), it could mean that no matter what, he will always regain the peace and safety of Japan and everyone in it.
So yeah, imo Redeemer isnt a bad hero name.

Also, when asked about what kind of hero he wants to be by Mt. Lady, Shoto replied that he would like to be a hero that puts people at ease upon his arrival. So he could go by "Uplift", meaning "cause (someone) to feel more cheerful, positive, or optimistic" or "something that makes a person feel more cheerful, positive, or optimistic". Or maybe "Serenity", meaning "the state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled". Another name could be "Peacemaker".
So yeah, here are my top hero names for Shoto Todoroki:
1. Redeemer
2. Uplift
3. Serenity
4. Peacemaker
