I will never look fondly at my elementary school
But why? Well it’s how they treated mental disorders and they always expect us little kids to bring lunch money on time or else you get a cold cheese sandwich and apple sauce (person experience). I have ADD/ADHD, in simple terms it’s an attention disorder, for my first few years of elementary school I couldn’t afford medication because my parents were still paying out to the hospital after having my siblings, we don’t make very much, so my school thought I was just a very bad student because I couldn’t pay attention for shit. I got punished like hell because of my ADHD and I would constantly pretend to be sick to go home and avoid those punishments because I wanted to be treated like a normal child. Skip to 3rd grade I’m starting to take medication to help, my teacher favors me because I paid most attention and thought I’d be “bad” because all the other teachers said I was, like I was medically diagnosed with ADHD ever since I was a toddler and pretty sure the school board even knew but didn’t care for shit. Anyway my little brother, bless his little heart, is learning disabled so my parents pay extra so he can learn, they still barely help him even if they’re getting extra to help him, I just hate that school so much still.
