there was a science facility called deltarune science opened in the early 1980s by two brothers
WD Gaster and Asgore Jonson
they changed the world with their inventions
one day Asgore fell ill and died. not long after, Gaster's children died of skeleton pneumonia
driven into insanity by grief and depression, he started on a project to transfer himself into a robot
the workers thought he was insane, and went on with it.
after gaster committed suicide, they transferred him into the robot.
glaster was emotionally numbed at first, but after a few weeks, he realized robots are better then humans and monsters because they can be rebuilt, unlike both of them.
so he took his dead children, transferred their souls into a microchip and made them into robots
he eventually nerotoxicated the entire facility
then he started to test on cherisk
