Some random things I have learned during my time at marching band practices

Try not to get decapitated by trombones but at the same time don’t knock the living life out of the trombones. Absolutely Do not strangle the guy in front of me during the ballad with the swing silk, no matter how hard the wind is blowing. Idk who it is but someone in the brass section uses very strong cologne. Tubas ain’t afraid of nothing. The emo clarinet guy is starting to lighten up and starting to have fun. Using double swing flags aren’t that bad just make sure not to cut yourself with them. Some freshman are CLINGY! I literally barely have a life anymore outside of band & color guard. Everyone in guard is basically still a bunch of 5 year olds when it comes to kid cuisine, lunchables, Dinsey movies, and cartoons. Don’t underestimate the power of the wind

Dang, at my school they try to make everyone hyped at the games but don’t really care if your hype during practice, just as long as we’re not wasting too much time.

as a clarinet myself i can confidently say the clarinets at my school also don’t have fun during practice or anything lol
