Here We Go Again with the “Age” Thing 🙄🥱

Why do people always love to gatekeep so much? 😵‍💫 It happens everywhere, including on social media. But anyway AnimeMaker is an animator app. Not a kids app 🚫 Also why do I seem to be one of the only adults who is always targeted for just simply drawing? 🤷🏽‍♀️ Cause I’ve actually run into other adults on here and no one bats an eye. But as soon as I end up on Ranking people have a lot to say about it. 😓 At least I’m honest about my age and not lying about it like some adults actually do online. I’m not ashamed of my age or of being a well known artist/animator online. As you can see I don’t even use this app as often as I used to because I’ve started heavily using FlipaClip again (which was the main app I used before joining this one in January this year). But yea even though I don’t use this app as much anymore, I figured I’d keep it around as a way to stay connected with fans of my art (especially those who don’t have TikTok to follow my work). I have close to 200K followers on TikTok now but I know many people on there have recognized me from this app and followed me. So it was actually a good exposure tool for me too. ☺️ But can we just normalize letting all artists, regardless of their age, enjoy art apps and social media? Also it’s not everyday that bigger artists with popularity want to find ways to be personable with their fans. Most mainstream artists I’ve seen don’t even reply to comments from their fans. But even with 200K on TikTok I still manage to make it a point to interact with all of my fans and show my gratitude by responding to them. So what I’m 31 🤷🏽‍♀️ My age doesn’t define my art and creativity. 😌 ✍🏽✨ It’s not like I’m on here 24/7 trying to be buddy-buddy with kids. 🚫 I’m just expressing myself on one of my many drawing apps that I use. 👍🏽
