What happened with Abdel?

I used to have an account where I did SU fusion animations, but I q kinda fell out of the SU fandom for a few years and, that was like 4 years ago, I just wanna know what happened to Abdel.Their art is like, CRAZY awesome, I just don’t know I should associate with them or not.
