How Does It Feel to be a Slightly “Internet Famous” Artist? 👀✍🏽
Well it definitely comes with its pros and cons for sure 😅 But I’d say the pros really do outweigh the cons (at least in my experience as an artist who is slowly starting to cross over into the mainstream art world). It does feel weird sometimes because as a kid I never thought I’d become recognized internationally for my art. I mean when I was in school, my peers always loved to watch me draw and people would ask me to draw something for them all the time lol But as far as getting this massive fanbase…I didn’t know I would get this far. 😳 So it’s pretty cool. ☺️ I mean is there a lot more pressure to draw now? Yes! 😵💫 Sometimes it gets overwhelming when people constantly ask me when the next comic episode update will be or when I’m gonna post a new animation. Then you get haters who envy your success or “Karens”. 💀 Even some “Baby Karens” who I have feeling will one day grow up to be randomly caught on camera doing some dumb s**t by a black person and then try to play victim as always 👀😬😂😭 But overall, the experience is pretty awesome. 😊 It’s fun to see my art and animation skills blossom on a daily basis and just enjoy the craft as much as I did as a child. It’s an amazing feeling to be recognized for just simply being yourself and genuinely having fun with everything you create. 🥰✍🏽💖 Also this has opened up the doors to TONS of commissions, collabs, and a chance to open up my own art business (thus why I’m making my own website now for my fans). Even that is something I thought I’d never do! 😱 To be the owner of my own unique domain is just the BEST feeling ever and I’m glad I was able to take that step in my art career journey. I’m so very grateful for all the support I receive, whether you’re young or old, or black, white, Asian, Hispanic, etc. It makes me feel good that my art inspires so many and that’s really all a hard-working artist can truly ask for. ✨
