Dimention X is the base dimention. If something happens here, it usually happens in every other universe. If something happens like an important person dying..... well let's just say we wouldn't want that. All of the dimentions are based on Dimention X but they have small twists. For example, there is a dimention where everyone is a demon rather than a human. There are some dimentions, however, called Break Dimentions.
They still have small differences compared to Dimention X, but they arent connected because of their tweaks. For example there is a Break Dimention where BK never lost his family. This is the only dimention where this happened, and none of today's events in our dimention could happen there, because BK got to live with his family.
