Opinion on lacecode

I am part of the alt scene. Punk/goth.
Its fucking bullshit to call yourself punk then violently enforce a dresscode. I wear purple and yellow laces on my docs, because i know what they mean to me personally and ik other people will read those colored laces in a certain way.

i agree. I love how red laces look, but wont wear them cuz of the connotation. A lot of it has to do with tiktok “alt” kids getting very shallow explications of complex shit that is no longer fully relevant.

Personally I do not care, but for me I’m not comfortable wearing things like that that were previously used as Nazi symbols yk
I feel like it depends on region on if it’s really dead in your area or not if that makes sense
