The Americans up north advanced towards Tunis but were caught by the 5th Panzer Army and were ultimately repelled among the reinforcements on the 5th Panzer Army was the more technologically known Panzer VI Tiger Tanks for field testing and among some German Generals. General Arnim took command of the entire Tunisian Army on December 9th, and he has Nazi Germany's Newest Tanks with him. With him and his assets with him, Arnim was able to make a Defensive Perimeter. Bizerte to Tunis making it a large Defensive line. From this strengthened position he was able to hold off the American's Christmas Eve Offensive since the infamous Tunisian Course began.
