At the same time, Adolf Hitler was beginning to rise through the ranks and promising to solve his country's dilemmas. The Nazis hated the Jews and blamed them for their Problems, when the Nazis gained control of Power in 1933. Hostilities to the Jews dramatically increased when Landowners kicked Jewish civilians out of their Lands because of the Nazis. Anne's parents, Otto and Edith decided to flee to the Netherlands. An Appeal to the Dutch Government in London was inspired by Anne to rework her diaries into a book. Before she finished her book. Their Hiding place was discovered and all of them were captured in August 4th, 1944. They were deported to a concentration camp and death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. Miep Gies and Bep Voskuijl, one of the helpers found the diaries that Anne Frank had left behind. Miep kept them in case of Anne came back. But she did not come back. When he read Anne's diaries after the war, they made a deep impression. He discovered how much writing had meant for her.

'No one who doesn't write can know how fine it is. And if I don't have the talents to write for newspapers and books, well then I can always go on writing for myself.' -Anne Frank

Otto read how Anne hoped to publish a book, so he carried on her wish. Anne's Story of life in Hiding is one of the best books I have read and That's why I want this Story to be alive.
