The First US flag was adopted in 1776 when it gained independence from the British it had 13 stripes for the 13 colonies at the time a Blue Square in the top left corner with 13 Stars for the 13 colonies Sinnce then There has been 50 Stars added for the 50 States theres a rule of the flag when there is a new state they add a new star on the 4th of July wich is the US Independence day the Current flag is adopted in 1960 and its still is the flag today.

The Mexican flag is adopted in 1968 and it's still is the flag of Mexico today it has green whit and red stripe the grenades strip on the left whit stripe in a middle with a eagle on it and red stripe on the right.
