The Rise and Fall of The German Empire | Part 1 | Western History Animation |

On November 10th, 1918. Kaiser Willhelm The II of Germany enters the Train which was destined for a foreign land fleeing both the enemy and the wrath of his nation. The account of the mighty German Empire become crashing down on its head. Perhaps the most immediate cause of the German Empire's demise that springs into people's minds were the First World War which left Germany's population designated and starving or was it the Revolution like their Communist Brothers in Russia felt that the time was right to stage a Revolution. These are certainly important factors in the development of the situations. However, it could be argued that the roots of the problem didn't lay in the War and Communist but in the Kaiser of Germany itself and that this external threat was only a manifestation of his shortcomings.

On the 15th of June 1888, the new Kaiser Wilhelm the Second Descended the Imperial Throne. And it came immediately clear that he would spike immediate influence throughout Europe and its government. Even before coming to an Emperor, he faced much opposition and signs of turmoil to come. He had to involve in some serious anti-semitic activity, for which he was spermatic by Otto Von Bismarck who was the chancellor of Germany at that period, throughout the years Bismarck had carved out a peaceful and stable position for Germany in Europe. He despised war and opted for cunning diplomacy this wasn't anything moral reasoning of course, but simply because he had absolute control in matters of statesmanship but Zero control of the war. Where nothing was certain and all were elected for the Generals whom he did not trust. Wilhelm's attitudes toward war clash fiercely with that in Bismarcks. In the Autumn of 1887, Wilhelm joined the pro-war party and expressed to wage war with Germany's Rivals Russia and France. This particularly unapproved behavior made Bismarck and said
"This young man wants to wage war with Russia, and would like to draw his sword strait away if he could. I'm not going along with that." -Otto Von Bismarck

The grounds of the upcoming future conflict were already being set. When Wilhelm descended from the Throne he initially maintain a facade of friendship with the Chancellor. However, in private, he wants to get rid of that Old Man. Under Kaiser Wilhelm the I had always managed to get his way and he assumed that it would be the same as his Grandson he was gravely mistaken and this led some a lot of laches. Perhaps the most significant fall of the agreement was the Social Policy. Wilhelm thought that the working class could be appeased through the extension of the welfare policy that would involve the end of child labor and working Sundays. Bismarck on the other hand thought that the idea was unnecessary and instead advocated for the use of repression tactics. It is for this reason he proposed to take permanent measures against socialism in the Government. Wilhelm certainly agreed with this idea, However, wanted much less harsh terms. which Bismarck would not agree to. However in the end this didn't amount to anything as the Reichstag which was the German Parlament rejected the bill in January of 1890. A powerful signal of the decline of Bismarck's influence.

The Next Month Wilhelm issued a proclamation promising change and further welfare. The Chancellor's signature was absent which led to a massive decline in Bismarck's Popularity and he did horribly in the next election. His desperation grew and he attempted to rally support behind a proposed increase in the army and a highly repressive anti-socialist law he planned to call the German princes to limit the powers of heifstag and in the event his proposal failed. However, wasn't supported by the Kaiser and so his ambition was thwarted. In March of that year, they butt heads once again on the issue of whether the ministers have the right to advise the monarch without the permission of the Chancellor. While accounts tend to differ slightly it seems that during this meeting it looks like Bismarck has lost control over himself and threw his dispatched case into the ground in anger causing a mess of papers. He then reached down to attend to hide the papers that he had fact brought for this very purpose. Naturally, the kaiser wanted to see the papers therefore he was being confronted by the Czar Alexander the III of Russia talking him behind his back essentially calling him a boy with an ill manner and bad faith. Wilhelm was thoroughly humiliated and Bismarck got his Petty revenge.
