It kinda depends on what public school you go to. Some public schools don't care/pay attention to students, so the students start doing whatever they please- like bullying students, even teachers. I felt extremely bad when a teacher in my brother's school had a mental breakdown because her class was so uncontrollable and rude to her. But it's technically the school's fault for not disciplining the students.
But some public schools are calm. Some students are a bit more disciplined, talk to teachers nicely, or joke around with them, quiet when told too, less bullying/fighting, and the school actually moniters everyone. Some people even consider you as a friend, even if you're not actually friends with them.
And no worries, ik how it might feel to get moved, I've also, always, worried of what public school I'm gonna be attending when I move. I went to one school technically as a tour- and man- It was a disaster- thank goodness I wasn't actually in that school-
